Welcome to my web site. My inspiration comes from beautiful places, the changing seasons and everyday joys. As a professional fine artist for over twenty years, I can't imagine a more enjoyable way to spend my day. To me, art is poetry expressed with paint.. View Paintings.

Jan Allmon ARTIST Biography
Jan Allmon was raised in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Majoring in Fine Art, Jan received a BFA degree from Bowling Green University in Ohio. In 1985, Jan and her husband, Jim, and three daughters moved to the quaint village of Woodstock, Vermont. They opened Gallery on the Green in 1988, a regional venue for New England artists. Jan has also been represented at galleries in Cape Cod, Southwest Harbor, Maine, Ogunquit, Maine, and Williamsburg, Virginia. Jan’s painting style as contemporary realism. Colors are often enhanced or dramatized in an otherwise natural scene to achieve mood effects. The application of paint with a palette knife also compliments certain textural compositions. Jan now has a studio in Worthington, Ohio, where she focuses on landscape, seascape, and garden paintings. Jan is a member of the American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, Ohio Plein Air Society and the Worthington Art League. Jan Allmon Biography.

Jan Allmon recently participated in The Granville Art Affair. This show was held at an old mansion that is now used as a polo field.
